Detention Deputy:

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our dedicated team in maintaining a safe and secure environment for inmates within our detention facilities.
What You'll Do:
- Maintain order and security
- Ensure the safety and well-being of inmates, staff, and visitors by maintaining a controlled and secure environment within the jail facility.
- Custody and control
- Supervise and monitor inmates, ensuring compliance with rules and regulations, and conducting security checks.
- Intake and processing
- Process incoming inmates efficiently and professionally, including booking, fingerprinting, and conducting searches.
- Communication and observation
- Maintain clear communication with inmates and colleagues, while observing their behavior and reporting any suspicious activity or potential concerns.
- Incident response
- Respond effectively to emergencies and potential disturbances within the facility, ensuring the safety of all individuals involved.
- Court transportation
- Securely transport inmates to and from court appearances, adhering to established procedures and safety protocols.
- Record-keeping
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of inmate activity, incidents, and observations, adhering to departmental guidelines.
- Professional conduct
- Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and respect in all interactions with inmates, colleagues, and the public.
Who We Are Looking For:
We are seeking individuals with the following qualifications:
- Strong moral character and commitment to public safety
- U.S. citizen, minimum 19 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Florida driver's license
- Prior military or law enforcement experience preferred
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong work ethic and commitment to excellence
