If your application is deactivated, it is probably due to failure to complete tasks in your inbox. To keep applications moving forward, they must be completed within 14 days of being initiated.

You generally will not hear from staff until your application is completed. Once your application is completed, you will be assigned a background investigator who will contact you and schedule an initial interview.

All non-pre-certified applicants will wear:
Athletic shirt - Athletic pants/shorts - Sneakers. Cut-off t-shirts, modified
sleeves, tank tops, halter tops, short shorts, and sports bras (without
a t-shirt) are not permitted.
All pre-certified applicants will wear:
BDU pants with inner belt and shirt, sneakers or boots
To qualify for a pre-certified position, you must have a valid Florida certification (Corrections or Law enforcement). Those with an out-of-state certification can obtain an equivalency of training (EOT) certificate at their own expense. HCSO does not offer EOT training; however, several schools in Florida do. Pre-Certified positions completing EOT will be eligible for reimbursement, once hired, up to $1500.

You are not automatically disqualified; however, you must provide court documents related to your case with the disposition noted.
Yes, all certified positions require you to have a valid driver's license.
