What You'll Do:
- Patrol assigned areas
- Keep your community safe by monitoring for suspicious activity, deterring crime, and conducting initial investigations.
- Respond to emergencies
- Be the first line of response to various emergency calls, providing assistance and ensuring the safety of individuals and property.
- Investigate crimes
- Utilize your investigative skills to gather evidence, interview witnesses, and solve both civil and criminal cases.
- Apprehend suspects
- Play a crucial role in apprehending and arresting suspected law violators, ensuring public safety and accountability.
- Evidence handling
- Secure and preserve evidence according to established procedures, maintaining the chain of custody for court presentations.
- Court testimony
- Provide clear and concise accounts of your findings in court, contributing to the pursuit of justice.
- Traffic enforcement
- Uphold public safety by enforcing traffic laws, issuing citations, and managing accident scenes effectively.
- Community engagement
- Build trust and understanding with the community by providing information, assistance, and fostering positive relationships.
- Report generation
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of daily activities, ensuring compliance with departmental protocols.
- Prisoner transport
- Securely transport individuals in custody to various facilities, ensuring their safety and adhering to legal requirements.
- Equipment maintenance
- Maintain your patrol car, weapons, and other essential equipment in optimal condition for reliable and safe operation.
Who We Are Looking For:
We are seeking individuals with the following qualifications:
- Strong moral character and commitment to public service
- U.S. citizen, minimum 21 years of age
- 60 college credits or 3 years of military experience
- Valid Florida driver's license
- Prior military or law enforcement experience preferred
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong work ethic and commitment to excellence
