The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is among the largest suburban Sheriff’s offices in the United States. HCSO, has initiated the inception of the Intelligence-Led Policing (ILP) philosophy into the office and the results are proving to be substantial. Since its initiation in 2009, the county’s overall crime rate has continued to decline. This innovation in policing is a strategic, future-oriented and targeted approach to crime control.
